Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Fun With Kiddos (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit funwithkiddos.com (the “Site”). We built this site to share activities, recipes, and parenting ideas for families, and we try to collect no more information than we actually need to do that.

General website privacy

Like most websites, we automatically receive some information when you visit, such as your browser type, general device information, and the pages you view, through standard web server logs and analytics tools described below. If you leave a comment on a post, we collect the information included in the comment form (name, email address, and comment text) along with your IP address and browser user agent string, which helps us detect spam.

If you register for an account on this site or submit a form (for example, a contact form), we store the information you provide in order to respond to you or manage that account.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use a small number of cookies for standard site functionality — for example, remembering your comment details if you choose to leave a comment, or supporting basic site security and caching. Analytics tools we use (see below) may also set their own cookies to distinguish visitors and measure site usage.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. If you do, some parts of the Site may not work as smoothly.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site — for example, which pages are popular and how people generally navigate the Site — so we can improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and pages visited. This information is processed by Google in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console to monitor how the Site performs in Google Search — for example, which search queries lead to the Site and whether pages are indexed correctly. Search Console provides us with aggregated search performance data; it does not give us access to information that identifies individual visitors.

Google Ads API and Google OAuth / API access

We use the Google Ads API (including its Keyword Planner functionality) and related Google account access (via Google OAuth) purely as internal tools to support our own website management, analytics, SEO research, and keyword planning — for example, researching what topics and phrasing to write about. We do not run advertising campaigns on behalf of, or share this data with, any third party.

Specifically:

  • Google account and API data accessed through these tools is used only for internal website management, analytics, SEO research, and keyword planning.
  • We do not sell any Google user data obtained through Google APIs.
  • We do not share Google user data obtained through Google APIs with third parties for advertising purposes.
  • Authentication credentials and access tokens used by these tools are stored securely (as encrypted secrets, never in our website’s source code) and are used only for the internal services that require them.
  • Our use of Google API data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
  • Internal SEO and keyword research tools

Alongside Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and the Google Ads API, we use internal, staff-only tools to review search performance and plan future content. These tools are used solely for our own editorial and SEO planning; they are not used to profile individual visitors, and any data they draw on comes from the aggregated sources described elsewhere in this policy.

    Affiliate links

Some posts on this Site may contain affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you click through and make a qualifying purchase, at no additional cost to you. This may include participation in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites, as well as other affiliate networks. We only recommend products or services we believe may be of genuine interest to our readers.

    Advertising services

We may in the future display advertising from third-party advertising networks (such as Google AdSense) on this Site. If we do, those networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Any such advertising would be governed by the relevant network’s own privacy policy, and we will update this section if and when advertising is added to the Site.

    Third-party services

In addition to the services described above, we rely on a small number of third-party services to run the Site, including our web hosting provider, a content delivery and image-optimization service (ShortPixel) used to serve faster-loading images, and a caching service (LiteSpeed Cache) used to speed up page loads. These providers may process technical data (such as IP addresses and request logs) as part of delivering the Site to you, under their own privacy and security practices.

Articles on this Site may also include embedded content (for example, videos or social media posts) from other websites. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the other website directly, and that other website may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content.

    Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including restricting access to our website and internal tools, and storing credentials and access tokens as encrypted secrets rather than in plain text or source code. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    Your rights over your data

If you have left a comment or contacted us through a form on this Site, you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, subject to any information we are required to keep for legal, security, or administrative reasons. To make such a request, please use the contact method below.

    Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, as we add new features or third-party services to the Site. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when we do.
